![]() ![]() Just replaced 1hp SS super pump(10 years old) with B&D 2.0 over the weekend. Maybe leave the bond wire undone for the service person to connect to qualify as an “installation”.ġ8,000 gallon, swg & NG heater(no other bells or whistles), single 1 1/2" from pool, single 1 1/2" return as well. Maybe a local handyperson who will charge $50.00 to “install” the pump and give you a receipt. The qualified installer might be anyone who has a business license authorized to install such equipment. The installer might not need to be a pool person. You might be able to purchase and install the pump and then find a local service person to come out and “Install” the pump by doing nothing more than verifying the installation and charging a nominal service call fee. ![]() ![]() The qualified installer might want you to buy the pump from them and have them install it. Hayward, Pentair and Jandy will probably have an authorized service/warranty center nearby that can provide warranty service, especially if you buy it from an authorized retailer.Ī rebate might be available, but that usually requires a qualified installer. If it has a problem after a few months, then the warranty process will probably be so complicated and annoying that you would be better off buying a new pump. If it has a problem right away, the seller should replace it.
